My mother doesn’t have any more cancer. Instead she got pnuemonia. You might be wondering why is pnuemonia better!!! Because pnuemonia you can cure with a course of antibotics. Cancer takes chemo.

So to the person who interpreted the PET scan, thank you for fucking up!!

Happy Birthday to THE MAN

Today THE MAN turns 37. So for the next 5 months and 1 day I can live with the fact that we are the same age and don’t have to listen to anymore comments about robbing the cradle.

He should appreciate his birthday present. Especially since he gets to unwrap it.

Happy Naked Year

Yeah I could be boring and wish everyone a Happy New Year. But instead lets have fun this year and what is more fun then getting naked. So HAPPY NAKED YEAR instead!!

New Year’s Resolution Early

I decide that I was going to start my Resolution for 2008 early. After all if you do something consistly for 30 days it becomes a habit. So I am going to keep it simple stupid, just because I like KISSing!!

1. I am going to lighten up on the Man and stop bitching so much at him!! Hell you might as well make the most difficult one first.

2. I am going to use the F-word a little less often. Except during sex!! Hey if I am going to lighten up on the Man then I am going to have to find some way to stay occupied so there will be nothing to bitch about.

3. I am going to write more!! I haven’t been writing much in the past couple of years and NaNoWriMo has been a bust. Mosty because I have been out of practice.

4. Spend more time doing things with the kids and the Man. Hey this will be the easiest one to do.

So those are the four task for 2008. Amazingly enough I have listed them from hardest to easiest. Wish me luck and I will keep you posted.

Church vs Bullets

This morning when I hopped online to catch up on my news. Thank goodness for yahoo or I wouldn’t know what the heck was going on in the world. Anyway I read an article about a shooting at a Christian Ministry in Arvada, CO (part of Denver).

Now my mother just called me to tell me about a shooting that took place at New Life Church (North side of Colorado Springs). Hey I am all for people’s second amendment rights, but please resist the urge to reorganize religion by killing off the people who are trying to get close to God.

I personally do not attend church. I think some of the biggest hyprocrites can be found in church, but I do believe in God and I do believe that people have a right to express their religious belief anyway they feel the need to. All I ask is that you allow me to do the same.

I also read how Germany is trying to ban Scientology. I admit that I know absolutely nothing about it except that Tom Cruise is big into it. Fine by me. Live on Tom, may the force be with you. But the question I have to ask is why is Germany so afraid of Scientology? Have they made some overt bid to take over the government? I am not so sure I would trust the judgement of the German government, after all Hitler really was not that long ago!! As since I was born in Germany I know that if Hitler had won the war I would not exist today.

All I am trying to say is that if you have a specific problem with a religion, first educate yourself about the religion and then talk to members of that religion and try to reach a compromise. Stop trying to settle everything with bullets!

Perks to the Job

So the new contract is going good. And I made a discovery on today. I am losing weight. On the 13th I will have been doing this job for exactly a month. In that time I have lost eleven pounds. It is probably all of the extra walking that I am doing and the fact that I am once again eating regular meals. But who cares as long as it keeps on happening. I will keep the world posted.

Day Without A Cellphone

Okay I forgot my cellphone at home today. I forgotten how quiet the world is without a cellphone going off every 30 seconds. But then again I couldn’t call anyone because everyone’s phone number is programmed into the cellphone.

But what I missed the most is texting. That is how I keep in touch with everyone throughout the day. So I learned my lesson today. Make sure I pick up my phone as I run out of the house.

Sick Sick Friends

This is to the smart aleck who sent me the get well card, (and you know who you are).
Yea, somebody sent me a card saying that I have been way to nice lately. Not my normal bitchy self so I must be ill.

So they sent me a card wishing me a speedy recovery and that they hope I get better soon, because they miss me. Well I have some words for you but I am being too nice and so I am not going to say them.

Start All Over

I was doing well with NaNoWriMo, but I decided that I hated my story, so I decided to start over. So on day 17, I started from the beginning and managed to write 10,000 words. WooHoo, it was a good decision that I had made. So hopefully the writing goods will stay with me and I will reach 50,000 before the 30th.

Finally Someone Knows the Pain

Well my brother is going home tomorrow, so tonight we had a family barbecue. But he discovered the pain of dealing with chemo week. Tonight he told me that he can understand why I get so pissed at my other brothers for not helping out with my mother’s chemo.

He took her to all of her appointments this week except for the one on Monday which I did. He found out how tiring those appointments are because you just don’t sit their with her, you have to help her to the bathroom, get her coffee or a soda if she is nauseaous. Get her something to eat, cover her with a blanket when the chemo makes her cold, uncover her when the chemo makes her hot. Entertain her to keep her mind off the chemo. So by time the appointment is over you are just as tired.

So now somebody else has experienced the pain and know that it is not easy. And he understands when I vent about the other two having experienced it first hand.
